COVID-19 Guidelines

2020-2021 Hockey Season COVID-19 Guidelines

Welcome to the 2020-2021 BWBYHA hockey season!  We are all excited about this upcoming season.  


This season will pose some different challenges that we have not dealt with previously.  The below document outlines guidelines that are to be followed during the season.  These could change at any given time and will be updated as needed.  Please defer any questions you might have to the BWBYHA Board of Directors.  Use the contact information below as needed.

  • Anybody who is sick should stay home and not be using our public facilities.

  • Anybody who is considered high risk should carefully consider their presence.

  • Public facilities are allowed to be at 75% capacity at the present time.

  • (Normal Building Capacity 1147. 75% capacity 860. 50% capacity 573)

  • Only one person or members from the same family should be in a restroom at one time.

  • Maintain six-foot social distancing from all facility users. Refrain from hugs, handshakes and physical touching. (According to ND Health Department and CDC guidelines.)

  • We will wipe down frequently used and touched items, like door handles, railings, rest rooms (as time allows). Please do your part in helping keep the cleaning times down by watching your children so they are not touching and running around the arena. Please don’t congregate in the lobby.

  • Masks are not required at this time but are recommended while on the premises.

  • Cover your mouth with your arm if coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your face.

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, any time they get dirty and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

  • Hand sanitizer are installed on the walls for your use and protection.

  • Please limit the number of parents in the locker rooms with your players.

  • No equipment will be left in the locker rooms due to cleaning efforts.

  • Thank you for using and respecting the Ella Stern & Harry Stern Sports Arena! We hope you enjoy your skating experience with us.

  • These guidelines are subject to change at any time.

  • The guidelines above are minimum requirements. Additional user group guidelines may apply.
